Picking times<\/strong>\u00a0are defined as the time required to execute a\u00a0picking order<\/strong>. This time is divided into base time, walking time, picking time and dead time. The objective is to keep the picking time as efficient as possible<\/strong>. The base time includes the preparation and postprocessing time that is required for picking. The walking time is the time the picker<\/strong><\/a> needs to get to the respective article and back again. Picking time is the time required for the actual picking process. Dead time is the time in which the picker is unproductive<\/strong>.
